David was a blessing to all who knew him. His kindness and generosity were constant. He was always trying to help others if possible. He genuinely cared for people, especially those who had maybe not been treated fairly, or not had the best breaks in life. No matter the challenges you faced, with David in “your corner”, you knew things would work out and that you would be ok. His unselfish love was freely given. He is irreplaceable, and we will miss him terribly. Greg & Carla Brooks

Cindy and family,
David (Bish) was a source of such comfort and love while Bob was ill and after his passing. He would bring photos to share with Bob and just reminisce on the patio. I loved hearing the guy’s laughter. It was a balm to my heart that I will forever be grateful for. A huge heart and kind soul….an angel. I am sure the guys are hanging out and laughing together now. My love and prayers for comfort and peace to you all. Kristen Norris

Cindy so saddened to hear of David’s unexpected passing. While we shared a career at North Lake Foods he was always a champion for those he supervised. His kindness and happy spirit always made working with him so pleasant and I have so many fond memories. He left this world too soon and certainly will be missed. May years of memories and sharing good times as a family bring you comfort as David would only want you to find strength to go on enjoying life as he did. I won’t be able attend his memorial but know you, your family and David are being held close in my thoughts and prayers. Linda Marcantonio

Dear Cindy and family I am so very sorry for your loss. My husband and I went to High School with David.
David was a family man and loved sharing photos and stories of the family he was so proud of... He was a good friend to so many people and will be dearly missed. I do hope you can feel comfort to hear that in heaven he has a true Gator football player friend and an avid golfer, boater and fisherman friend - my husband Don Balas. Both way to young... Big guys - with BOOM personalities... So very sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers!

We first met David and Cindy when we worked at Publix and would stop in HBH on our lunch breaks. Years later when we bought our first home we were blessed to discover them as our “across the street neighbors”. David was a wonderful man who will be missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers to Cindy and the family.

Met David in 1994 at Pinehurst golf trip. His roommate at Duke, Greg “Cracker” Brooks was friend and neighbor of
mine.
From the beginning, I could tell David was the real deal. A big gentle Giant. I will miss David and will remember him each time I go flogging. Like his stature, Dave’s swing was timed and accurate. Play through David. Spencer
