Our Staff’s Dedication to Respectful Care

A funeral, or memorial service, should provide family members and loved ones with the chance to reflect, remember, and celebrate a life well-lived. Our goal is to create exceptional services and experiences that fulfill the wishes of your loved one. Our experienced Funeral Directors provide guidance on the crucial first steps toward healing.

Beatriz Cains

Funeral Director Apprentice

Beatriz is a Tampa native, USF alumna, and an aspiring funeral director & life celebrant. From a young age, she knew that her place was to be with families experiencing the loss of a loved one. She has recently become our funeral director apprentice, to ultimately become a licensed funeral director in Florida.

During her free time, she likes to sew and embroider, as well as spend time with her family and loved ones. What’s most important to Beatriz is taking the time to help and listen to families at need, with a side of coffee or tea. Furthermore, she is our translator for our Spanish speaking community.

Lisa Slater

Lisa is originally from Kentucky and moved to Land O Lakes in 2007. She has a bachelor’s in educational studies, where she has over five years’ experience teaching ESE classes with Hillsborough County Public Schools. During her free time, Lisa likes to immerse herself in gardening, spend time with her family and most importantly her daughter. Lisa has made it her primary focus to honor the lives of those loved ones who have passed, exceeding the family’s expectations with her care and compassion during these difficult times.

Mark A. Vitelli

In addition, Mark has two beautiful daughters, one a teacher, Kassie, and the other a business manager, Alex. Both attended USF.
