Laura grew up in the Tampa Bay Area as a child, then moved to the Dallas area to attend L. V. Berkner High School. Post-graduation, Laura moved back to the Bay Area to pursue her AA degree at the USF. During this time, she interned and worked for Clear Channel for over three years. Later, Laura’s career path shifted towards hospitality and event planning.
Despite her accomplishments, Laura felt that something was missing from her career, and in 2013 she decided to return to school to become a Funeral Director. While attending St. Petersburg College, she began her internship with Loyless Funeral Home and graduated the Funeral Services program in 2015. In 2017, Laura was the proud recipient of a scholarship to attend the NFDA Professional Women’s Conference. Laura also won Honorable Mention in the ICCFA’s 2018 Keeping It Personal (KIP) Awards. She appreciates the entire Loyless staff for welcoming and mentoring her, and she is proud to call Loyless her career home.
Laura and her husband DJ were married in 2008. They both love cruising, dining out, and enjoying a great bottle of wine, but most of all, Laura enjoys taking pictures and videos of her son Christopher, while he plays sports. Laura is known as a sports mom and a cheerleader to not only her son but to co-workers and friends.
Tesa Morton has been with Loyless Funeral Homes since 2014. She came aboard not knowing anything about the funeral business, but quickly learned that her experience serving in church ministry loving and helping people was the quality that counted at Loyless Funeral Home.
She was born and raised in Maryland and relocated to the Tampa area in 2005. Tesa has been married to her husband, Tim for more than 25 years and they have three children and one granddaughter. She enjoys spending time with family, taking cruises and visiting Disney with her granddaughter.
Alissa Mitchell was born on August 16, 1994 in Tampa, Florida. Throughout her childhood, Alissa had many different aspirations of possible careers, including marine biologist and optometrist. She always knew from a young age that whatever occupation she chose, she wanted to help people in both an emotional and spiritual way. It wasn't until she graduated from high school that she discovered her calling was in grief counseling and death care, and she chose the funeral industry.
She is currently a student at St. Petersburg College in Pinellas Park, Florida, seeking an AS degree in Funeral Directing and Embalming, and has been a full time administrator (and occasional service attendant) with Loyless Funeral Homes since May of 2017. In her spare time, Alissa enjoys singing karaoke, bullet journaling, practicing yoga, going to the beach, cosplaying at local conventions and Ren Faires, and attending church with her little sister.
