In Loving Memory of Our Family Patriarch, Michael J. Conigliaro
The only tree that never dies is - Our Family Tree.
Its roots are planted deep and hold firm in our history.
Its trunk is strong and supports the branches of the generations before us. Its bark is a mosaic of
all our life stories.
Our Family Tree has a change of Seasons: The birth of Spring.
The youth of Summer.
The adulthood of Autumn.
And the “Golden Years” of the gradual closure of Winter – Only to renew and grow again with each
generation.
Our Family Tree celebrates in the Sunshine and in the Light of God, sharing the joys in our lives –
Blessed with Love – the Eternal Flame in our hearts that burn without consuming.
Our Family Tree endures the wind, rain, and storms in our lives –
Blessed with love and compassion in support of the heartaches that touch us all.
Only God knows in what Season our leaf will fall – Some leaves fall too soon – their lifecycle
unfulfilled. Some leaves hold on to fulfill their lifecycle.
Some leaves endure with incredible strength – surpassing all the odds.
But in the end, the leaves on Our Family Tree always fall back to earth to nourish the roots and
strengthen the tree to continue our family legacy.
Michael J. Conigliaro had branches that always surrounded his beloved wife, Patricia, his children
Michael, Patricia and Thomas, his grandchildren and great grandchildren with the strength of his
love, his faith, his protection, his courage, his humor; all were Blessed with his presence beyond
the Seasons.
Our family and his friends mourn his absence in our earthly lives – yet we all celebrate his
presence that shall live forever in our hearts.
My Uncle and Godfather was always a great and loving joy in my life. We shared a special bond that
I know shall never be broken. Our Family Tree is the only tree that never dies. May God Bless us
with - ALL the Seasons.

I remember the first time I met Uncle Mike was at Lizz's wedding in 2016.... I had just started dating Suzi, I didn't really know anyone at the wedding. When he and I started talking he made me feel like part of the family the minute I met him. He had camera in hand to make sure that Bob and Eileen knew, He met me first.
He was truly a great Man....He will be missed.

I met Mike when I was 8 or 9 years old, when he was my Dad's "trainee" at Met Life. At 10 I became his Lawn Kid and as strange as it may seem, we became friends, even though he was 28 years my senior, but maybe not so strange to those who knew him. At 12 I became his paperboy and his baby sitter, the latter of which I did for the next 5-6 years. During these formative years he taught me (and reinforced what my parents taught me) about kindness, tolerance, and humor - but not golf. Some years later, by coincidence, we wound up working together at Met, where my "lessons" continued and because of what he was able to impart to me on how REALLY to succeed in business by not just being good at your job, but by caring that others succeeded as well; Mike was the catalyst for my own business success. When I had a serious falling out with my family, it was Mike who brought us back together, and for this I will be eternally grateful.
Mike literally changed my life with his philosophy of kindness, understanding and forbearance starting when I was a child, through my teen years and into my twenties, so that today, even as an "old man", before I make a decision in life, I ask myself, "What would Mike say?"
He was a mentor, a father-figure, and most of all, my friend. I miss him greatly, but he will always be in my heart.

Uncle Mike was our Conigliaro family patriarch. Always the most loving, encouraging, and positive force that caused everyone who he met to be better for the opportunity. I had the joy of escorting him to Washington, D.C. on Honor Flight #34. Reading your letters at mail call was his highlight. What a privilege. What a giant of a man.

Mike loved his family, the game of golf, The Groves, and life itself. He left everyone in awe of his beautiful swing and fabulous short game. He was a class act, always a gentleman. I truly enjoyed getting to know him and golfIng with him over the last 8 years.
My condolences to the family,
Bob Bixler

I had the great honor playing bocce on "Mikey's Angels". The gleam in Mike's eyes will always remain in my heart when he made a play and we won a game.
A wonderful gentleman who I will remember and try to emulate always.
Love to the entire family.

Mike, you were always a wonderful neighbor. We will always think of you when we look out at the 16th hole. You had a great swing.
Eterno riposo, concedere a loro, o Signore,

I want to thank Pat and all your children how Mike made us feel when we first moved here in February of 2017. He and Pat were one of the first persons who made us feel welcome. He encouraged me to improve my golf game, but I was a lost cause as I started rather late in life to learn the game. He never gave up on me and and eventually learned to love the game. He was a real gentleman. My wife and I will miss him and will always remeber him as long as we live. Love John & Christine.
