Obituary of Joe D. Stroup

STROUP, Joe D., Sr., 75, of Lutz, FL passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012. He was born in Tampa, FL to Susie and Joe R. Stroup. Joe worked in the automotive industry for most of his life and owned Stroup Auto Body. He enjoyed hanging out at the shop with the boys, collecting and restoring old cars and attending Nascar races. Joe is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn; three sons, Joe, Jr. and his wife, Lorinda; Richard and his wife, Teresa both of Lutz and Mark and his wife, Betsy of Winter Haven; two daughters, Valerie Anne Stroup of Lutz and Susan Lieberstein and her husband, Mark, Sr. of Land O’ Lakes; seven grandchildren, RJ, Luke, Alex, Michael, Sr., Mark, Jr., Joe and Kera; two great grandchildren, Michael, Jr. and Maya; sister in law, Vickie Stroup; many nephews, nieces, including Adam, Tommie, Pamela Michelle and many extended family members. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Donations may be made in his memory to the HPH Hospice or the Kidney Foundation.
