Obituary of Michael A. Machmer

MACHMER, Michael “Mike”, A., 59, of Lutz, Fla., passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011. He was born in Reading, PA, raised in Wantagh, NY and moved to Fla., in 1993. Mike was a buyer with Sparton Electronics in Brooksville. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drew University in NJ and continued his studies at Parsons School of Design in NY. Michael loved all sports but hiking, running, golf, and tennis he enjoyed participating in. He played guitar and was very involved with his children’s education. Michael was a loving husband and father. He is preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Machmer. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 24 years, Nancy; son, Brian; daughter, Laura; mother, Anna Machmer of Wantagh, NY; brother, Phil Machmer and his wife, Terry of Wantagh, NY; nephew, William and his wife, Jane of North Carolina; and many other loving family and friends. Donations may be made in Mike's memory to Exciting Idlewild Baptist Church - Music Ministry. A memorial service will be held at 9:15 a.m. on November 5th at Exciting Idlewild Baptist Church. The family will receive friends forty five minutes before the service.
