Obituary of Robert R. Lang
LANG, Robert R. “Bob”, 85, of Wesley Chapel, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1971. Bob served as a flight engineer in the Air Force and retired as a Chief Master Sgt. During his 28 years of service, he was awarded many medals including the Purple Heart. After retirement he worked for 17 years with the Hillsborough County Property Appraisers Office as a principle land evaluator. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lore; son, Robert C. and wife, Laura of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Tricia K. and husband, Mark Sifford of Wesley Chapel, FL; six grandchildren, Chris, Catherine, Jacob, Caroline, Curt, Hanna; sister-in-law, Ulli and husband Don Bowyer of Biloxi, MS; his loving and caring caregiver, Jeanne Philpott; along with many other family members and friends. A committal service with full military honors will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010, at Florida National Cemetery. Lore Lang and the family of Bob will receive friends on Friday evening from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at their home.
