WE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SAY WHAT IS IN OUR HEART, BUT WE DO KNOW THAT BOB WAS A LEGEND IN HIS OWN TIME. HE WAS SUCH A FINE MENTOR TO BOTH MARY LOU AND ME. BOB WAS THE GREATEST FLIGHT ENGINEER THAT I EVER FLEW WITH AND THE BEST FRIEND ANY PERSON COULD HAVE ASK FOR. LORE REMEMBER THE GREAT TIMES YOU ,BOB ,MARY LOU, AND I HAVE HAD WITH THE CHIDREN AS WE LEARNED TO BE GOOD PARENTS, AND LATER AS WE VISITEN IN EACH OTHERS HOMES. I AM SURE BOB IS BUSY TRAINING SOME OF THE NEW ANGELS HOW TO PLAN THEIR FLIGHTS TO BE THE MOST EFFICIENT. WE LOVE YOU LORE AND MISS BOB MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY.

My pops... How I miss you so much! There is not a day, hour or minute that goes by that I am not missing you. Chris, Jake and Hanna often talk of the funny memories of thier "opa" which brings a smile to my face which does help ease the pain a little. You will forever be a part of our lives and your sense of humor and giving spirit will be carried through to many more generations. As I said at your funeral... My earliest memory of time with you as a little girl was crawling up on your lap and putting my head on your chest. I would say “pops I hear your heart beating”. On Thursday, October 7th, I had the special moment of having my head on your chest and hearing the beats fade away. I am truly the luckiest daughter in the world. I miss you!

Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the family. We returned yesterday from a HS reunion trip back to the northeast only to find the news of Bob's passing. While we only got to know you all since we moved into the neighborhood 9 years ago, the brief moments and "hello's" will always be remembered!

Very sorry for your loss. I have always truly admired Bob. It seems Bob and Lore were friends with my parents as long as I can remember. Bob always took the time to sit and talk with me even as a young teenager. So over the years a friendship grew as I looked forward to our talks. Thank you Bob you will be greatly missed!!

First met Bob on a trip from Nellis to Langley. I was starting in the C 118 program & Bob knew the plane from nose to tail & wing tip to wing tip. Could not have lucked out & got a better engineer to fly with. From there came many years of great friendship. trips to Wolf Laurel, Germany, & outings that brought fun plus memories that will never be forgotten. Robert was a true sample of "THE GREATEST GENERATION" that saved our country in WWII. Shot down once in the Pacific, then twice over Europe he never quit. My friend you have alway had my admiration & respect.

You think I've gone, that I am dead, and life has lost its will, But look around, I am right there, living with you still I watch your tears, I feel your pain - I see the things you do I weep as well, each time you cry, my soul, it lives with you It gives such joy to hear you laugh, and do the things you do And when you smile o'er by gone days, I smile right with you too For we're still one, just you and me, one mind, one soul, one being Walking forward into life, though only you are seen And in the stillness of the night, when the pain it really starts Stretch out a little with your mind and draw me to your heart For I am always right in there, always by your side For you have been, all my life's days, my joy, my love my pride. God looked around his garden And He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth, And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw that the road was getting rough. And the hills are hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn’t go alone For part of us went with you That day that God called you home Author unknown
