Dear Ruth and family: I was sorry to hear about Ben's passing. Your trips to Indiana were always special for the Previte family. Since I grew up down the street, and seemed to always be at their house, I felt like the 6th child. In fact, when Deed and I went to Catholic School, we used to stop by to visit his grandparents on the way home. As a result, my ties with the Previte family go back many years. I hope that your children are doing ok during this difficult time. Please share my sympathy with them. Sincerely, Joe Marcoline

Our love and prayers to Aunt Ruth and her family. What wonderful memories we will cherish of you all visiting with us in Indiana. Your last trip to Indiana was our daughter 's wedding and we were so blessed to have you with us for that joyous occasion. May God bless you all and keep you in His care.

These are some things that we remember about our Dad.......our trips to Indiana when we endlessly asked "are we almost there yet?, how many more mountains, Dad?, when do we get to the smelly city?" He always replied, "we're almost there, it's about three more mountains, and the city is called Altoona." Our Christmas trips to Miami......It would take Dad three days to pack the car,(full of all our homework, suitcases, dolls, snacks, pillows, etc.) start off on a three day journey, get half way there, get a flat, unpack the car, change the tire, repack all the stuff with not one complaint! All the times we asked him to take us for an ice-cream cone and somehow we always ended up at the Chenango Bridge Airport...go figure! He would say, "Let's just take a quick ride over the house and wave to Mom". Dad travelled a lot. We always looked forward to his return. He always brought us some kind of a momento whether from Australia or Greece or just a piece of gum. But always something. Dad would put on a Montivani record and let us stand on his feet and dance with us. Then we got to be teenagers and he would still dance with us.....at times, we still stepped on his feet and he never complained......as a matter of fact, he never complained about anything!! We'll always remember Sunday mornings...Dad got up and made spaghetti sauce. It was always ready at 1:00 for our weekly ritual Italian dinner. YUM!!! We think he had it done by 1:00 so we could hang out with our friends later in the day and yet keep his family tradition. He was so cool! "Dad, can you take me to Hillcrest, can you take me to Vestal, can you take me to the West Side, can you take me to ChiChi's, can you take me to the dance, can you pick me up from dance, etc." And he was always there without a complaint!!! Again, he was so cool!!! Every night while we were doing our homework in our room, he would knock on our door and offer to share his plate of apples or hot peppers and Italian bread, etc. He always said"I just wanted to say Hi and see what you guys were doing" We remember Dad taking us up the hill behind our house to cut down Christmas trees. We remember Dad painting the house every couple of years, mowing the lawn, cutting the shrubs, of course, always after his 18 holes of golf. These are just of few of the millions of memories we have of Dad, but we think we've taken up enough space. There's no words to explain how we feel about our Dad. Here's to the best father, grandpa, great-grandpa, husband, and friend we could ever have. Thanks Dad!!!! We love you and will so miss you, but you've given us the best memories!!! Till we see you again, All our love, Judy and Joan PS: Also, thanks for finally putting that second phone in the hallway when we were teenagers!!!!!

My deepest sympathy to Aunt Ruth and all the family. It was nice to have had a visit with Uncle Ben two weeks ago,I have many fond memories of him,he was a very caring and loving man. I know because of his faith in God he is in heaven and because of our beliefs that we never die and our spirits live on he is reunited with his mother and father sisters and brothers, and we will see him again someday.

Mrs. Previte, Please accept our sincere condolences on Ben's passing. We will all miss him. I was privileged to have worked for Ben on the P3C program for more than 6 years. During that time I found out what an honest, gentle, and caring person he was. Although rather short in physical stature, he was truly a giant of a man. Ben could be tough as nails when negotiating with a customer but immediately after the proceedings, his warm and genuine smile took over, and a firm handshake sealed the deal and made everyone feel confident they had done well. I will never forget having dinner with a customer after a day of lengthy and contentious negotiations. During our meal conversation, my dinner mate said, "god, he is so smart, tough, and yet so fair. Does Link know how lucky they are to have such a man working for them? Why, without hesitation, you could buy a used car from Ben Previte!" Yes, the Link Company knew how lucky they were to have his service for so many years and those who worked with him cherished that time. I am so fortunate to have been one of those persons. The simple truth is, anyone who ever knew Benjamin A. Previte will never forgot him. God bless you. Sincerely, Diane and Neil Rowe Binghamton, NY
