Obituary of David Hyrum Engebretsen
ENGEBRETSEN, David Hyrum, 72, of Wesley Chapel, Fla., passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to FL in 1997. David was a retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force and served as a JAG Officer. He was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ Latter –Day Saints in Odessa, FL and served as a missionary in Norway from 1956 to 1957. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arden. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two daughters, Carrie Hamblin and her husband, Scott of Issaquah, Washington and Ann Smith and her husband, Ray of Highland, Utah; six stepchildren; brother, Ragnar and his wife, Anne of South Ogden, Utah; sister, Helen Wells and her husband, George of Huntsville, AL; ten grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and one great grand daughter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church missionary fund. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Odessa. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
