Obituary of Mitchell Whittington Bowers

BOWERS, Mitchell Whittington, 12, of Lutz, FL passed away Tuesday, January, 26, 2010. He was born in Nashville, TN lived in Jacksonville and Pembroke Pines, FL before moving to Lutz in 2008. Mitchell was creative with a great sense of humor. He loved to surf and enjoyed all outdoor adventures. He was a straight A student at Martinez Middle School in Lutz and represented his school in the National Engineers Future City Competition, won first place in the region and was set to compete in the National Competition. He played football for the Citrus Park Bills and soccer at the YMCA. He was also an active member in Boy Scout Troop #314. He is survived by his parents, Lee and Elizabeth Bowers of Lutz; sister, Katherine; grandparents, Suzanne Mitchell of Jacksonville, FL, Richard Bowers of Jacksonville, FL and Esther and Charlie Hynes of San Jose, CA; uncles and aunts, Matthew and Elina Bowers, Christopher and Siri Mitchell and Rob Mitchell and their families. A celebration of his life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30th at First United Methodist Church of Lutz. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
