Obituary of Curtis L. Law

LAW Curtis L. Sr., 82, a life-long, proud resident of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2018. He was a Citrus grower and really loved being in the grove on his tractor. Curtis also served as a Commissioner for Pasco County for 16 years, as well as on many other boards and committees throughout his lifetime. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. An avid fisher, hunter, and golfer, Curtis enjoyed being outdoors almost as much as he enjoyed keeping up with his grandchildren’s sport teams and spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Zona and William Law; his brother, Thomas Law; his sisters, Maxine Johnston, Pauline Ferrell, Chloe Collopy, and Cleo Kirk. He is survived by his wife, Maxine, who he just celebrated his 58th anniversary with on July 30, 2018; his son, Curtis Law Jr. and his wife, Mary; his daughter, Shellie Law Durant and her husband, John; his grandchildren, Michelle, Kristi, Max, Will; his sister, Sharon Law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Curtis requested his family hold a private service. Internment to take place at the First Baptist Church Cemetery of Land O’ Lakes, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to HPH Hospice or the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lutz, Florida.
