Dr. Lundgren

Obituary of Dr. Ralph Lundgren

Dr. Ralph Lundgren, age 87, passed away on August 11th, 2023 surrounded by his devoted family. He will be lovingly remembered by Pat, his wife of 59 years, and his children Karen (Michael), Leigh Ann (Mike), and Gary (Sacha). He is survived by his brother Carl and seven amazing grandchildren: Brennan, Jordan, Ashlyn, Eli, Tessa, Aubree, Elliot, and his precious pug, CoCo.

Ralph was born on April 16th, 1936 in Akron Ohio. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati Medical School and specialized in pediatrics. He served proudly in the Vietnam War as a captain in the Army Medical Corps. He made his home in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and practiced there until his retirement. He and Pat then said goodbye to winter weather and lived the good life in Southwest Florida...but he always remained a loyal Packer fan!

Ralph was an adventurous traveler who climbed the Great Wall of China, went on Safari in Tanzania, and rode a camel past the Sphinx and pyramids of Egypt. His hobbies included piloting, fishing, gardening and sailing. He was a master of home projects and never met a ladder he didn't like.

Ralph was a devoted Christian who was always an excellent example to his family. He was quiet and modest, his kindness and gentleness were his strength. He served his community by volunteering his time and gave generously to both individual families and many charitable causes.

Ralph was Pat's red red rose and will be missed forever.
