Joaquin Jaime

Obituary of Joaquin R. Jaime

Joaquin Jaime passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, June 2nd, 2023, at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife, Mirian, and his children, Bia and Henrique.

Joaquin was a man of many cultures; he was born and raised in El Salvador, later immigrating to Brazil to study engineering and graduating with a Master’s Degree in physics. There he met his wife, Mirian. After many years in Brazil, together with their children, the Jaime family immigrated to the United States in the late 90s.

Whether for work or pleasure, Joaquin traveled the globe throughout his life, exploring South, Central, and North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He made many friends along the way through sports - including soccer (futebol/futbol), tennis, and table tennis - and he loved attending sporting events like the US Open. He was also a big lover of music and was always sharing new songs with his friends and family.

Joaquin will always be loved by those who knew him. Whether it was a single conversation or a friendship spanning multiple decades, he left a mark on every single person he met with his magnetic personality and desire to learn from everyone. His ashes were scattered in the Gulf of Mexico on June 9th, 2023, as he loved to be by the sea.

Donations can be made to: Gulfside Hospice and/or Glioblastoma Foundation
