Obituary of Gail Hansborough

On January 2, 2023, Gail Hansborough (née Crumpler) passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 71 and living in Wesley Chapel, FL, with her husband of 33 years, Russell (Rusty) Hansborough.

Gail was born on December 2, 1951, in Washington, DC, to Barbara and Shelton Crumpler. She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her older sister, Lynn Crumpler Cote, and her brother, Wayne Alan Crumpler, who passed away as a child from complications from cerebral palsy. She is survived by her younger sister, Janette Wynne Haney of Dallas, Texas.

Gail was mother of seven children, including a stepson, David Alan Hansborough, who passed away in 2008. She had nine grandchildren.

Her oldest child, Kimberly Bayudan (née Allen), is mother to two daughters, Samantha (13) and Zoe (9), and resides with her husband and children in Long Beach, CA.

Her son, Patrick Neighly, resides with his wife in Portland, OR.

Her daughter, Madeline Neighly, resides in Brooklyn, NY, with her daughter Beatrice (10).

Her son, Ryan Neighly, resides in Colorado Springs, CO. He has a son, Austin (13).

Her daughter, Katharine Terrero (née Neighly), resides in Wesley Chapel, FL, with her husband and her children Ethan (21), Xavier (13), and Amelia (9).

Her son, Dustin Neighly, resides in Seattle, WA, with his wife and two sons, Sébastien (5) and Caius (2).

Gail was an avid reader who spent any free time she could find with a book and a cup of tea. With her husband, Rusty, she loved to travel, and especially enjoyed cruises and beach vacations. Her children remember her love for the holidays and making each one special as the kids and grandkids grew up.

Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 3pm – 5pm at Loyless Funeral Home 5310 Land O’ Lakes Boulevard, Land O’ Lakes, Florida 34639
