Obituary of Eileen Josephine Daysh

Eileen J. Daysh, 79 passed away January 03, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles who died in August 2021. She is survived by her daughter Carole Sostre, husband Gilberto and grandson Michael Lopergalo. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Dwyer, nieces; Deborah Helfrich and son Ryan, and Theresa Reid. She was a wonderful and caring sister to her oldest sister Mary who died of Alzheimer’s disease in July 2022. She was very close to her sister Patricia who she saw every day.

Eileen was born in Amityville, New York and moved to Lindenhurst Long Island at an early age. She attended local schools and graduated from Kings County Hospital School of Nursing in Brooklyn. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse for over 25 years at Southside Hospital, Bayshore, New York.

For the past 22 years Eileen lived in Lexington Oaks community in Wesley Chapel. She enjoyed walking and using Churchill Villas heated pool. She made many friends and was so helpful to them.

Services will be held at the Loyless Funeral Home on Tuesday January 10, 2022 at 12PM and family will receive friends one hour prior for visitation

Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery where she will be interned next to deceased husband Charles.

Eileen will be greatly missed by her daughter Carole and grandson Michael and all her surviving relatives. She was the bed rock of her family. May she rest in peace.
