Obituary of Barbara Ann Avriett

Barbara “Ann” Avriett, 88, a lifelong resident of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, passed away on November 30, 2022. She was born in Tampa, Florida, the daughter of pioneers Mike and Grace Riegler. Mike was the first permanent resident of Lutz. Ann, a woman of strong faith, was a member of the Land O’ Lakes First Baptist Church where she taught a Sunday School class for children for over 50 years. The church’s education building is dedicated to her. Ann’s love of gardening and her creative talents prompted her to start and run a small business—Country Garden Flowers—for over 10 years. She loved oil painting, belonged to a local Masters of Fine Art group, and inspired students at the Land O’Lakes Christian School to paint. A superb seamstress, Ann enjoyed sewing clothing for her family and many others in need. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Dick Avriett; son, Rick (Diane) Avriett; daughter, Linda (Bruce) Galster; grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Amanda, Trenton, Allison, and Katie; twelve great grandchildren and two foster grandchildren.
