Obituary of Bodo Juergen Gerbig

Bodo “Bo” Juergen Gerbig, 84 of Land O Lakes, Florida passed away August 16, 2022.

Born in Wesel, Germany, he and his mother immigrated to the United States in 1952. They settled in Dayton, Ohio where he graduated from the Patterson Co-operative High School and later enlisted in the United Air Force and served 25 years before retiring in 1981 as an avionics manager, attaining the highest enlisted grade of Chief Master Sergeant(E9). He served overseas in South-East Asia, Germany, England, Italy, Iceland, Australia and Guam as well as numerous stateside assignments. Recruited by Lockheed Martin, he spent the next 22 years starting as a Project Engineer for special mission aircraft and retiring as a General Program Manager for Advanced Technologies. After his second retirement, he became the president and owner of AT Consulting which provided consulting services to the aerospace industry.

He enjoyed traveling, reading and staying current with the latest electronic technology.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pamela Gerbig; one son, Bodo Gerbig Jr; two daughters, Sarita Gerbig and Tosca Gerbig-Lee; two sisters, Luise Joseph and Nicole Sievert; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
