Obituary of Laura Patricia Lewis

Laura Patricia Lewis, 74, of New Tampa, Florida passed away on July 16, 2022. She was born in New York City, New York and moved to Florida in 2001 to follow her career.

Laura was Catholic in faith and a parishioner of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. Throughout her life, Laura was actively involved in church activities such as Eucharistic Minister, Reader, Choir member, CCD, Baptism, and PreCana classes. She took pleasure in meeting new couples for 40 years as team presenter in Marriage Encounter. 

Laura is survived by her loving husband, Terry Lewis, of 49 years, her daughter Megan (Dan) McNeil, her sons Matthew (Theresa) Lewis, Sean (Gina) Lewis,  and her brother John Martin Jr. and sister Peggy Helmick. Laura savored every moment that she spent with her seven beautiful grandchildren.

Laura enjoyed arts and crafts such as painting, crocheting, and macrame. She and her husband were very charitable in support of several charities including American Indian, Philippines, and South African schools.
