Obituary of Lois Wurzelbacher

Lois Ann Wurzelbacher, 84, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and was an extremely active parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church where she was part of the Prison Ministry, a Eucharistic Minister at Mass, and also took Communion to the homebound and people in nursing homes. Lois also volunteered at Hospice and supported Right to Life. Lois enjoyed playing cards, reading, praying, and keeping up with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 58 years, William D. Wurzelbacher; daughters, Marie (Frank) Strasser and Lisa (Glen Danford) Wurzelbacher; sons, Bill (Tracey) Wurzelbacher and Steve (Jennifer) Wurzelbacher; grandchildren, Clare, Nicole, Frank, Paul, Emily Mae, Peter, Hope, Hunter, Anna, Tim, Luke, Cole and Drew. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Therese, Martin, Lainey, and Eleanor Kate.

Lois was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Marie Hamburg; brothers, Donald, Robert and Gerald; sisters, Marion, Frances and Viola.

She will always be known for her love for family and others. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude Hospital and/or Florida Right to Life.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, July 23, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 2348 Collier Parkway Land O’ Lakes, Florida 34639.
