Obituary of Nikolla Culaj

Nikolla Culaj, 91, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020.

He was born in Montenegro in 1929, raised in Kosovo. Nikolla moved his family to New York 1972 to provide a better life and live the American dream. Before retiring he was a man of many trades including carpentry, masonry and construction. He also served in the Yugoslavian Army. 

He and his wife moved to Florida in 2017 with his Son, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters. 

He enjoyed time playing dominos with friends and family. He loved watching the New York Yankees and spending his days gardening. 

He is survived by his wife Palina; son Vinny; daughters Mira, Rosa and Vesna; grandchildren Cassandra, Isabel, Linda, Jenifer, Frank, Maria, Victoria, Victor, Melissa, Sofia, Anita, and Anthony; great grandchildren Audriana, Juliana and Aria.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Loyless Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O Lakes.
