Obituary of Ralph Forster Goodwin

GOODWIN, Ralph Forster, 91, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away January 27, 2020.  He was born in Needham, Massachusetts and moved to Florida in 1963.

Ralph  proudly served in the United States Marines and was a Word War II Veteran. He worked in finance much of his life; managing finance companies and serving as a systems analyst for TWA at the Kennedy Space Center. He later worked in banking and as a mutuals clerk in Miami.

He loved cars, planes, and coin collecting. He also enjoyed the beach, driving a variety of vehicles, and spending time with family. He owned an ice-cream truck up North, then with Phyllis, had a Hallmark card shop in Miami.  

Ralph is preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis, in 1979. He is survived by his daughters, Diane King and her husband, John, Deb Goodwin, and Sherri Goodwin; his grandchildren, Chris King, Jen Wojciechowski and her husband, Kevin, and Tessa and Tori Goodwin; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel “Nat” and Claire Wojciechowski. 

A service will take place at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service and a reception at their home will follow.

Interment will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we would like to ask that donations be made to Gulfside Hospice of Pasco County.
