Obituary of Margaret Augusta Louise Zehnder

Margaret Augusta Louise Zehnder, 84 of Wesley Chapel, passed away on December 18, 2019. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Cindie Zehnder; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Faron Cajthaml and her daughter, Barbara Zehnder. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Joshua (Rebekah), Erin, Caleb, Claire, Hope, Grace, Brooke and Sam(Gina) and great-granddaughter, Naomi. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband James on November 25, 2019, by her parents, by granddaughter Brianna and by great-grandchildren, twins Jonathan and Lily. Margaret graduated from Detroit Lutheran High School where she was class valedictorian and attended Concordia College in Ft. Wayne, IN for 2 years. She was an accomplished musician, having studied piano and organ at the Detroit Conservatory of Music and flute at the Cleveland Institue of Music. As a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Margaret served as a Eucharistic minister and sang in the choir. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and once had the privilege of meeting Billy Martin. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother as well as a very hard-working yet warm and gentle lady. The family will receive friends on Friday December 27 from 10-10:50 am at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church 9724 Cross Creek Blvd. Tampa, FL 33647 with a Funeral Mass to follow. She will be laid to rest with her husband in North Olmsted, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.
