Obituary of Virginia Blount Gasink

GASINK, Virginia Blount, 68, of Tampa, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019.

She was born in Waynesboro, Georgia, moved around the world and then came to Florida in 2004.

Everywhere she went she made friends, many of which became life-long friendships.

Virginia frequently stayed busy with volunteer work and Newcomers Clubs.

As a young adult she earned her MBA and worked at Northern Trust Bank.

In Florida she was a special education teacher at a school that helps young adults get jobs.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Dick.

She is survived by her son, Griffin; daughter, Lila; fiance Gil Manter; 3 grandchildren; siblings; many good friends and extended family.

A memorial celebration will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Grace Episcopal Church.
