Obituary of Eugene Joseph Verba

Eugene J. Verba, 81, from Wanaque, NJ passed away on October 13, 2019.  Born on August 7, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Joseph B. and Gabriella A. (Panik) Verba.  On February 23, 1963, he married his beloved wife, Sara M. (Suarez) Verba, and the two spent over 56 years together.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Eugene J. Verba was Roman Catholic and of strong faith.  He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Haskell, NJ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 children, a son, Christopher Verba; a daughter, Suzanne Verba-Hopkins; a daughter, Cynthia (Pete) DiMarco; a daughter, Jeanine (Thomas) Carvella; a son, Steven (Jaclyn) Verba; 8 grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn Whalen.

A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O' Lakes, FL on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 10:30am.

A graveside service will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, FL at 1:00pm.
