Obituary of Peggy Joyce Rogers

Rogers, Peggy Joyce, 81, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on June 18, 2019. She was born in West Virginia to Helen Irene and Raymond Lee Belcher. She was a woman of great faith, active in her nearby church, North Dunedin Baptist. She was a loving wife, dedicated mother and a dear friend to many. Peggy turned a hobby with friends into a successful ceramics business in Tampa for many years. With her winning smile and outgoing personality she worked as an activities director helping to enrich the lives of seniors in her care. She enjoyed sewing and scrapbooking and was very active with her Red Hats Society group. Her love of music led her to direct musical productions in the community playhouse at Top of the World. Peggy was a fan of the Tampa Bay Rays and Buccaneers and loved to go dancing with friends. Peggy is survived by her husband Ernest, brother Lee Belcher [Cindy), sons Warren Kane (Trina), and Danny Kane (Sonja), and daughters Diane Holt (Mitchell), and Donna Blankenship (Ted) and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Florida Hospice or North Dunedin Baptist Church www.myndbc.com/give. A celebration of life will take place at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 22^nd at Loyless Funeral Home, 5310 Land O’ Lakes Blvd., Land O’ Lakes, FL 34639. The family will receive friends between 6-7 pm. Peggy will be laid to rest near her parents at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
