Obituary of Gladys Flores

Surrounded by her loving family, Gladys Flores, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all, passed away on February 17, 2019 at 81 years old. Gladys’ strength throughout her battle never ceased, not even at the end of her life.

Gladys was born in New York City on March 8, 1937. She was married for 62 years and raised 4 children. She was the backbone of her family that she loved and who loved her dearly. She will be forever missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Petra Travieso; her brother, Benito Travieso Jr.; and her nephew Kenneth Travieso.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Flores; her children, Eddie, Wendy , Gladys, and Kelly Flores; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 pm on March 1, 2019 at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive visitor one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or Life Path Hospice-Melech Hospice House in her name.
