Obituary of Rafael Luis Ocasio

OCASIO, Rafael Luis, 52, of Land O’Lakes, Florida passed away on February 3, 2019. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to the United States in October of 1993. Rafael proudly served in the US Navy from 1984 to 1992. He was Christian in faith, loved listening to rock music of all kinds, and enjoyed traveling. During his service in the Navy, he traveled to Japan, Australia, and Hawaii on two separate destroyers. He also enjoyed working on antique and drag cars, drag racing, and going out to eat. Dairy Queen was his favorite. Rafael is lovingly remembered as having never met a stranger and for his ability to put a smile on anyone’s face. He is survived by his parents, Benjamin and Rosa; brother, Benjamin Jr.; sisters, Rosa, Linnette, and Elianette; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place at 7:00 pm on February 6, 2019 at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service. Interment will take place at 12:30 pm on February 7, 2019 at Florida National Cemetery.
