Obituary of Charles Wayne Lupkey

LUPKEY, Charles, “Duck”, 78, of Land O’ Lakes, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was born in Herculaneum, MO to Homer and Wilma Lupkey. He graduated from Herculaneum High School where he played baseball, football and basketball. After Charles served in the United States Marines Corp, he worked as a meat cutter at Lupkey’s A.G. and was a member of Herculaneum Baptist Church where he was called into the music ministry. Charles and his wife moved to Florida from IL in 1986. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dorothy; two sons, Steve and Gary; two step children, Anita Sigler and Ed LaBotte; sister, Mary Ewing; brother, Bill; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14th at Myrtle Lake Baptist Church in Land O’ Lakes, FL. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 on Friday, July 13th evening at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O’ Lakes, FL. Graveside Rites will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18th at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion, IL.
