Obituary of Jason Albert Bates

BATES, Jason A, 41, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012. He was born in Savannah, Georgia and moved to Florida in 1983. Jason was a 1989 graduate of Land O’ Lakes High School and most recently Vice President of Complete Climate Control, Land O’ Lakes. After graduation, Jason devoted his technical knowledge and people skills to his over 20 year career in the heating and air conditioning business. Mentors he worked with along the way included Joe Castellano and Robert Britton. Jason enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Nascar and Bulldog fan. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; “Ma” Barnard, “Bates” and “Mamo” Bates, Ernest and Betty Dasher, and cousin Trey Barnard. He is survived by his son, Justin; daughters, Caitlin and Meagan; parents Teri and Dan Allen, James and Sherri Bates and Albert and Donna Dasher; sisters, Shawn Muzzio, Leighann Connell, Amanda Chittick, Julie Carlton, and Jennifer Montano; brother, Aaron Allen; ten nieces and nephews; grandfather, Walter Barnard, Sr; aunts and uncles, Leon and Linda Barnard, Tafren and Larry Price, Toy Barnard, and Maxine and Dan Smith; many cousins; extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 3rd from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home, 2794 US Hwy 80 West, Savannah, GA 31408. Graveside services will take place on Thursday, July 5th at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah.
