Obituary of Dennis R. Severson

SEVERSON, Dennis R., 93, of Lutz, FL went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 7, 2012. He was born in Wood Lake, MN and moved to FL in 1938. Dennis served as an aircraft mechanic in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He retired as ground safety director at MacDill Air Force Base. Dennis was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Lutz. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his workshop. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Powell Severson. He is survived by two daughters, Karen Phillips of Lutz and Alexandra Sinclair of Los Angeles, CA; two granddaughters, Shannon and Kelly Phillips; sister-in-law, Betty Powell Newberger and family. A private service will be held in the family’s home today. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans.
