Obituary of Martha Josephine Wickham

WICKHAM, Martha Josephine, “Midge”, 84, of Seminole, FL passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Monday, March 19, 2012 at her new home in Lutz. Her death was unexpected. She was born on January 13, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Royal and Martha (Stenholm) Spicer. Her father was Vice President of Vermont Marble and in her senior year the family moved to Ontario. She graduated from the University of Toronto as an occupational therapist. She worked at various state institutions in Concord, NH and Tempe, AZ before settling into her final position at Bay Pines Veterans Medical Center Hospital in St. Petersburg. Martha was a loving daughter, wife and mother who adored her family and was loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, William H. Wickham; father, Royal Spicer; mother Martha Spicer and her sister, Mildred Stephens. She is survived by her twin daughters, Elizabeth Tate and her husband, Steve and Victoria Meyer and her husband, John all of Lutz; niece, Karen Woods and her husband, David of Richmond, KY; three grandchildren, Christopher Tate, Justin Tate and Erika Tate. A celebration of Midge’s life will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
