Obituary of Jeffrey John Kovaleski

KOVALESKI, Jeffrey John, 58, of Tampa, passed away on March 7, 2012. A native of Clifton, NJ, he moved to Tampa in 1984 with Prudential Health Care, then founded Florida Affiliated Physicians as its CFO, and finally as COO of GMS Florida West Coast prior to becoming an independent consultant. Jeff was a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, an avid tennis player, and member of Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. He was also a longtime Krewe member of the Tampa Rough Riders and a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay. Jeff loved music and sports. He especially enjoyed going to live concerts and was a big fan of the NJ Devils. He loved devouring books on historical figures and events and was passionate about connecting his love for history by collecting antiquated artifacts that connected him to the monumental events that helped shape his ideology. He is survived by his brother, Robert Kovaleski, also from Clifton, NJ, and predeceased by his parents, Dr. Walter Kovaleski and Joan Malleck. A joyful celebration of his life will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on March 21st at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O’ Lakes, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwestern University in Jeff’s name. A donation box will be available for your convenience.
