Obituary of Floyd Charles Wright
WRIGHT, Floyd C., 77, of Temple Terrace, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012. He was born in Waseca, Minnesota and moved with his family to Florida, from Pennsylvania in 1974. Floyd was a United States Air Force Veteran and served as a helicopter pilot during the Korean War. Floyd was an Aero Space Engineer with The Boeing Company and was awarded many high honors for his distinguished service and personal sacrifice in volunteering for Overseas Duty in the Theater of Combat during the Vietnam War. Floyd flew the Boeing
CH-47 Chinook Helicopters and trained other Military Pilots during the conflict. Floyd was most recently a retired Restaurant Entrepreneur. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shizuko; son, Craig and his wife, Pamela of Lakeland, FL; daughter, Michele Wright Yablun and her husband, Jeff of Lutz, FL; brother, Richard and his wife, Nancy of Northfield, MN; brother, Daryld and his wife Sandy of Waseca MN; sister, Barbara Bourassa, of Waseca, MN; and grandchildren, Christopher Wright, Kayla Lyon, Andrew Yablun, Douglas Yablun, Melissa Howells and her husband Michael. Funeral Services will be Private. Floyd will receive a Formal Military Burial Service where his final resting place will be at the Florida National Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the VFW- The Veterans of Foreign Wars of The United States.
