We are so sorry to hear about Paula's passing. Add our names to the list of kids that hung out at Royal lanes with her. Paula's house was a second home for Pete and he much appreciated all she did for him. She had a huge heart and was always willing to listen to teenage problems. What a special person she was! Our love goes out to your family at this sad time.

To Joe & Tracy, Kayla & Austin... and those who have experienced the privilege of knowing Paula and sharing in her love. Thank you, Joe & Tracy, for blessing me with the privilege to be present with you & to share in Paula's final hours of life on this earth. Your exceeding great love for your Mother is clearly evidenced by the valiant efforts you put forth in diligently watching over every aspect of Paula's care, from the beginning of her diagnosis to the very end. You have made your mother very proud! From the time I first met Paula, at Royal Lanes, it was apparent that there was something very special about that lady. Time & space do not allow for listing all her amazing attributes, so I'll just say that Paula, my dear friend, my best friend, was a rare combination indeed. Both beautiful on the inside, as well as out, she represented the epitome of the truest meaning of friendship & love. Though her body may have gone the way of all flesh, still her spirit lives on, and, we who are believers, take heart in knowing that we shall see her yet again. To the family... May you sense the presence of the Lord, and His loving comfort, as He walks with you through this difficult time. I love you guys! Everett

Dear Joey and Tracy, My heart aches for both of you and I know there are no words to really ease the pain that you feel. I can only hope to make you smile by telling you that I have so many fond childhood memories that were made with the both of you and your Mom. I remember camping with our families and walking around in the dark holding a bag and banging trees with a stick because your mom told us we were "snipe hunting"! I remember all those Saturdays that we spent up at the bowling alley driving her crazy and begging her to let us stay a little bit longer. She was always so good to us and she was an awesome friend to my Mom. The tears I shed are for the two of you because I know the loss you feel, but the memories I have of Paula are fond ones and make me smile. She was a special person and I am so thankful that she was a part of my life growing up. If there is ever anything I can do for either of you, please let me know.

I’m so proud of your family, the strength you all showed in this last year can never be measured. I know your wonderful mother is so proud of you all, as we all are! You are living proof of what a wonderful mothers she is. God of power, You watched as Your Son Jesus died on the cross. So many watched as Paula left this world, too. Be with us and Paula’s family as we journey on together without her. Comfort us as we mourn, and help us to remember that we are not alone, in each other and in You. Grant us the light of Your love in the darkness of grief. Amen."

Dear Tracy, Joe, Kayla, and Austin, My deepest sympathy go out to to each of you. I pray for strength and peace in this painful time. Paula or as I liked to call her "Prissy" meant so much to me. I truly loved her like a second mother. I wish I could be there to comfort you and pay my last respects. Please know I would be there if I could. What a blessing for you to have been brought in to this world by such a sweet soul. And what a blessing it was for her to have all of you by her side as she left this world. When my grandfather died of emphysema, my dad came up with a phrase to put on his headstone that was very comforting to our family. It reads "O how sweet, the breath of peace in Jesus". I hope that when you think of that phrase with Paula in mind, that it gives you comfort in some way. My heart is broken for the loss, but I'm so thankful she is not suffering any longer. Paula was truly one of kind, and I can't wait to see her again one day. <3 T
