Obituary of Arlene Kotowski

KOTOWSKI, Arlene “Grandma”, 90, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla. passed away Friday, December 16, 2011. Arlene was born in Guilford, Connecticut and moved to Florida in 1979. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Arlene enjoyed being outside and was always ready for an adventure. She created beautiful gardens, hiked along Florida trails, and walked on the scenic beaches. She also enjoyed sipping her own creative combination of Captain Morgan and Mountain Dew. Among her favorite things, were her children and grandchildren, coffee, yellow roses, reading nonfiction and finding treasures. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter. She is survived by five daughters, JoAnn Northrup, Arlene and Robert Graves, Lynne and James Malone, Carol and Paul DeRosa, Susan and Marty Brown; son, William and Betsy Kotowski; eleven grandchildren, Justin (Sasha), Ali, Nichole and Michael Northrup, William Kotowski Jr., Norma and Beth Graves, Megan Malone, Shauna and Kurt Onofrey, Michael and Lauren Brown; and five great-grandchildren, Star, Trinity and Giselle Graves, Stephen Onofrey and Zoey “Dolly Baby” Northrup. Arlene’s final resting place will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Donations may be made in memory of Arlene to a charity of your choice.
