Obituary of Delores M Hodges

HODGES, Delores, 76 of Seffner, Florida, and formerly of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, passed away Thursday December 20, 2012. She was born in Hammond, Indiana and moved to Florida in the late 1930’s. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Land O’ Lakes and Apostles Lutheran Church, Brandon and enjoyed singing in the choir and volunteering with the S.H.A.R.E. program. Delores was a very caring and giving spirit. Her entire life, she seemed to already know or was always thinking of ways she could help others in need. She is preceded in death by her mother, Adele Goucher, daughter, Carla Morrison and two brothers, Ronald and Steven Goucher. She is survived by daughters, Connie Farmer and Carrol Brewer; uncle, Otto Quick and family; brother, Raymond Goucher; sisters, Sonja Pinkston, Eileen Fields and Betsy Johnson; grandchildren, Rebekah, James, Sarah, John “Jay” and great grandchildren, Halen, Hunter, Eden & Jack. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday December 28th at Apostles Lutheran Church, 200 Kingsway Road, Brandon, Florida 33510. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Apostles Lutheran Church, God’s Global Barnyard program.
