Obituary of Carole Ann Willms

Carole Ann Willms nee Longmeyer, Little, 69, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Friday, October 5, with her family at her side. She was born on June 10, 1943, in Manitowoc, WI, to Carl and Evelyn (Mecha) Longmeyer. Carole was a 1961 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. For many years, Carole worked in customer service at Mirro and Newell in Manitowoc and continued that career with Banko Doors of Tampa up until the time of her death. On February 1, 1964, she married Thomas J. Little, and together they raised their two children, Michael and Michelle until his passing in 1991. In June 1994, she married Thomas J. Willms and together, they rebuilt their lives in Tampa, FLa, where they lived happily until the time of her death. Carole will always be remembered for her ever-present smile and infectious laugh. She was very active in the Candlewood Community Church and the Downshifters of Brooklyn Car Club. She loved reading, playing cards with the ‘Hemstitchers’ of Manitowoc, and games on the computer. So much of her goodness, humor, and charm will live on through her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Thomas Willms, she is survived by her son Michael (Lisa) Little, Sheboygan, WI, and daughter Michelle (Jason) Stockton, Two Rivers, WI, and stepdaughters Julie (Glenn) Harvey, Ben Salem, PA and Susan Wendler, Ben Salem, PA. Carole was blessed with many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives, but the most important parts of her life were those near and dear to her heart: her children and grandchildren: Emma, Megan, and Jack Little, Owen and Mara Stockton, William, Scott, and Brittany Wendler, Julia (Dave) Elitz, Jillian (Scott) Pina, Jenna (Tom) Voeglei, and her great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Sydney, Jordyn, and Leah. In addition to her parents, Carole is preceded in death by Thomas J. Little, as well as her two brothers: Allen (Ruthanne) and James (Marlene) Longmeyer both of Manitowoc, WI. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Candlewood Church family and all of Carole’s many special friends for their love and support during this difficult time. A memorial fund has been set up in Carole’s name at Candlewood Community Church, 21418 Carson Dr., Land O Lakes, Fla. 34639.
