Obituary of Carolyn Marcum Douglas

DOUGLAS, Carolyn Marcum, “Cye”, 82, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC to Paul and Verda Marcum and moved to Fla. as a young child. Carolyn was a teacher, librarian and guidance counselor in the Florida school system for over 30 years. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading Billy Graham and historical fiction. She is preceded by her sister, Miriam Atherton and her husband, Ray. She is survived by her two daughters, Faye Douglas Johnson and her husband, David of Santa Cruz, CA and Nancy Douglas Cook and her husband, Bruce of Richmond, VA; son, Robert Paul Douglas and his wife, Suzanne of Land O’ Lakes; sister, Elaine Santoro and her husband, Joe of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Melech House Hospice.
