Obituary of Victor Manuel Colon

COLON, Victor Manuel, 78, of Land O’ Lakes, passed away August 17, 2012. He was born in New York and moved to Florida in 1990. He served in the US Army. Worked as an airbrake mechanic for the Transit Authority of New York, a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clotilde and Victor Colon; brother, Harry Colon; sisters, Norma Sanchez and Martha Rosario. He is survived by his wife Claudia R. Colon; sons, Carlos Serrano, Victor Colon Jr; daughters, Denise Vasquez and Jennifer Moore; sister, Jean Herandez; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will take place at 7:00 pm Monday at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Tuesday, at 11:00 am
