Obituary of Robbie Koehler

KOEHLER, Robbie Lee, 79, of Land O’ Lakes, FL passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011. She was born in Grayson County, Texas and lived with her husband, Wayne, in their home in Hoffman Estates, IL for over 50 years. Robbie was very proud of her son, Bruce, and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed going out to dinner with friends and family and her feisty personality kept everyone around her on their toes and laughing. Some of her happiest times were spent in her back yard, feeding the many birds, squirrels, and rabbits that were frequent visitors. After a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s, she is now returning home to her beloved “Van” to finally rest in peace. Robbie is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; and her parents, Martin and Selma Lee Duke. She is survived by her son, Bruce (Karen) Koehler of Land O’ Lakes; three grandchildren, Thomas (Jacque), Matthew, and Donna; and two great-grandchildren, Felipe and Karsyn. Funeral Services will be held at Flesher Funeral Home on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Internment will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Flesher Funeral Home.
