Obituary of David M. Cold

COLD, David Middlebrooks, 82, of Lutz, Fla., passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011. David, a native of Tampa, was a strong, generous and kind man. He was a hard worker all his life, and a loving husband, father and Papa. Retiring young, he and his wife of 49 years, Zorah, enjoyed many years of RV travel and time spent with family. David is preceded in death by his wife, Zorah, and siblings, Duke, Marie, and John. He is survived by his daughters, Gayle (Tommy) Gordon and Theresa (Chester) Hewitt; grandchildren, Leanne Vaughan, David Andrew (Victoria) Hurley, Travis (Jessica) Vaughan, and Ann-Marie Gordon; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Stella Hurley, and Austin Hewitt; step-grandchildren, Mark Hewitt, Allison (Doug) Griffin and Udale (Wendy) Moore, and their families; nieces, Judy (Ron) Kern, Florence Palladino, Ruth (Norman) Lukancich, Lynette Fite, and Joan Smoot; nephews, Carl (Ida) Cold, Joe (Margaret) Cold, Joseph (Sue) Palladino, and John (Ann) Smoot. Pallbearers are: David Andrew Hurley, Ronald Kern, Kenneth Fite, Michael Minton, Gerald McGowan, and Thomas Newkirk. Honorary pallbearers are: George Middlebrooks, Carl Cold, and John Hurley. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Tims Memorial Presbyterian Church in Lutz. Interment will follow at Lutz Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Loyless Funeral Home.
