Dearest Diann, Emily, Chris, Madison, Abby, Erin and Emma, Words cannot express the shock, emptiness and pain we are feeling for you. What an amazing Man Mark was! There are so many memories of all of us being together all these years. What I remember most about Mark is his warm, genuine smile and wonderful sense of humor! I remember so clearly the night before Emily and Chris's wedding how Josh kept wanting to be with Mark. Mark and Randy were so much alike in that they would always show their love, joy and genuine care for not only the people they loved, but they were so unique in how they expressed love to children. I always knew if Mark was there when we were together, I'd get the best hug ever! No surprise, that Randy gave the same kind of hugs:) Diann, I know I have said it many times during our 24 year Friendship and a lot lately, but Your Family is THE example of what Unconditional Love, Respect and genuine compassion should be. It is so rare. I pray you will find peace, and comfort during these very difficult times. Please remember, I AM HERE, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Love you all! Vicki and Josh

My deepest condolences to the Fields family. I knew Mark when he lived in Roswell, GA on Moonshadow Court. We were only kids then but somehow lost touch over the years. I regret losing touch with the entire Fields family. I still remember running around the woods/creek at the end of the street. Even though we lost touch in the teen/adult years, Mark will be missed. \ -Brandon Crawford

Mark was truly one of the best guys I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am so greatful that I had the priveledge of having him as my friend. He will truly be missed!!!

Diann, Emily, Erin and family, There are no words to express how sorry and saddened I am. My heart is breaking for you beyond explanation. Mark was the greatest! I always admired what a sweet and considerate brother and son he was. He gave the best hugs and was always so fun. He accepted me like family when I stayed at your home all the time and crashed your family dinners in high-school and college. Me and my family are praying for you every day to find peace. Much love always.

Mark and I worked at Movie Masters together and I knew I could count on him for anything. He was a good friend. He made me feel safe and included me in things that I might not have been included in. I was shy and had problems with depression but when I was around Mark, I didn’t have those problems. Mark and a few other friends pushed me out of my shyness and showed me it was ok to have fun and be a kid. I am just one of many people that have been touched by his kindness and his fun loving spirit. He will be missed and I hope his family finds some comfort from all the people that loved him.

Our friends and my family are holding Erin, Emma, and the families in our thoughts and prayers during this time of deep shock, confusion and pain. Erin, we are so saddened to have never met your Mark and to feel his loss after such a short time. He obviously touched many and was a gift to this world. My heart is hurting for you and I’m reminded how fragile and fleeting life is - to squeeze out every little moment of joy. Although no words can ease your pain, my hope is that you find some peace to guide through these times of suffering. And, to know just how much you are loved and supported.

Although I didn't know Mark well, I met him through his co-worker Monnie Ethridge. The times I spent in his presence I was always amazed at his intoxicating personality. He was so funny, smart, sweet and from what Monnie tells me, a terrific co-worker and friend. Although we will be out of town for the services, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and especially his mother. I can only relate to my personal loss of my husband, but for you, this is too much grief too quickly. I pray God will embrace you and comfort you in the moments ahead. His everlasting love always endures.

Mark and I worked at Movie Masters together. I don't know if you'd call it 'work' it was more like hanging out with friends, watching movies, dancing, being silly... and giving the nice customers a break on the rewind or late fees. Mark was the kind of guy that always felt like a friend even more, like a brother. I have a feeling that throughout life Mark never met a stranger. After 'The Crew' left Movie Masters, many of us went our own ways and embarked on our own journey of life. The tragic news of Mark's untimely departure jolted me back to all of my memories of being 17. Mark loved going to the skyway and fishing off the bridge, this was something we did seemingly often. He would always help me take the fish off the hook, I loved fishing but always hated that part. He always seemed so prepared with that little pocket knife that he carried around. Between he and Karen, I don't know who the biggest movie lover was but it didn't matter. After working all day at the video store we would end up at the movie theatre like movie loving nerds, I was the one who would fall asleep and be filled in on what happened on the way home... along with excessive amounts of teasing! The news of Mark has left me with a very distinct sinking in my heart and I can only imagine what those who have remained, and were so close to Mark are feeling right now; I am so sorry for your loss.

Words cannot even express the emptiness and heartfelt sympathy that I am feeling inside for you all right now. To Mark's family: my prayer for you all is that God just continue to hold onto you all so very tightly and carry you ever so gently through this most difficult of times. I can see him actually holding you all right now. To Erin: You know I am here for you for anything that you may need. Tara's and my hearts are just completely broken for you. We love you dearly. Mark was a just such a darn nice guy, someone that will inspire us all to strive to be more like in his loving memory. Nothing can be said to ease this pain, but just know that if there is anything at all you or Emma need now or forever in the future, I will be there for you. May God bless you all and comfort you all in this most difficult time. With Love, blessings, and lots of hugs, Marc M. Crumpton

Mark's family, I am Matt, Mindy and Michael Miller's Mom. He was a good friend to all of them as well as Matt's wife Jessica and Michael's wife Cindy.I only had a few contacts with Mark but they were very special. My husband and I hosted a dinner for Michael a long time ago and at the end of the evening Mark gave us both a hug and thanked us for a wonderful time. What a special young man to think us. We formed a special bond and he certainly was a wonderful friend to my sons, daughter and daughter-in-laws. His smile was contagious and from facebook photos of my family I can see he was a lot of fun to be around. These are the reasons I will miss him. (Isn't it ironic that sometimes even a brief encounter can make an impact on someone else's life and they don't even know it.) My prayers go out to his mother, to Erin and her daughter and the rest of the family. Kay Miller
