To a man I am proud to have called Dad... You were the heart and soul of this family. Through you I have learned how important family is. I will forever be grateful for all that you have taught me over the years. You and mom were excellent role models in all of our lives. I hope that I can make you proud by raising my children with same values and love that raised us with. I am sorry the twins did not get to know you better, but please know they will always hear the stories and see the pictures, and share in all of wonderful memories of you. We will take them camping, fishing, hiking, and Tom and I will never let them forget you. We love you dad and we all miss you very much. I know that you will live on forever in all of out hearts and that you will keep a close watch on all of us. Rest peacefully and try not to worry. We will all take care of each other just the way you always took care of us. P.S. I hope you heard Blake and Olivia when we visited you on Father's Day at the cemetery. They both looked down at your picture and said Pap Pap. I know that made you smile!

I, too, did not know John on a personal level but was a frequent customer of his at the deli counter. There was never a time that John was not friendly, smiling or telling me about "specials". I heard of his passing through his fellow colleagues who are very saddened and lost without him. To the Lauer family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. To the Lauer children, dad will be with you in all that you do at all times.

I never imagined I would be saying my last goodbye to my big brother. I've loved and admired you all my life. It's not fair that such a good man as you was taken so tragically and too soon.Whenever I think of you I smile! I hear your happy whistling. I loved when you would sing, your voice so beautiful... and before you would know it, we would all be singing! Your glass was always half-full and it felt so good to be around you. You were such a good son and our mother's heart will be forever broken. There was never a better Big Brother than you. I'll miss your good hugs... the BEST EVER!!! For those of us left behind, it will never be the same without you. From your loving wife, Linda, and your three beautiful kids and all the others who came after... you will live on through them. You will be in my heart forever. When you see my twin up there... give her one of those great big hugs and tell her it's from me.

I am more than blessed to have had such a wonderful Father-in-law. To go 22 years of life without having someone to call "Dad" was completely fine since I was able to have one so willing to open his heart and consider me another daughter. I loved being his daughter-in-law and will always embrace the many memories that we have together as a family. Our children love their PapPap and are now also missing him every day. However, they knew how much he loved them because he showed them unconditionally and when they are asked "Where is the best place in the world" and they say "Heaven" they also know that their PapPap is in the very wonderful place too! God has a new special Angel in his Heaven and surely laughing at his jokes. I love my Father-in-law, my Dad.

Thank you for being the best father a kid could ever ask for. You taught me so many things and have always been a role model and inspiration to me. I will miss your infectious laugh and loving ways. You were taken from us far too soon, but I am so thankful for all of the memories we created together, like quiet mornings having coffee before anyone else was up, hunting, fishing, camping, ball games and so many more things that I will forever hold close to my heart. I love you and will miss you, but I know you will always be there looking down on your family from heaven, waiting patiently for us all to join you someday. Goodbye for now Dad.

Dad, Words could never express my feelings for you. You were such a wonderful role model for me and you have helped to make me who I am today. I have so many wonderful memories with you from the times that you coached my softball teams, to the holiday traditions, singing Christmas carols better than anyone else in the room. I've laughed with you, cried with you, watched you move away and reunited again. You were a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. I will do everything in my power to help keep your spririt alive for my children. They loved you so much, as did so many. I am going to miss you so much here on earth, but know that as we were reunited before, we will be reunited again in heaven. Rest in Peace Dad. I know you will be waiting for all of your family. I love you!

My sincere condolences to John's wife and his family. I work at Publix and John was a fellow employee. Though I never got the chance to get to know him personally, as I work in a different department I would see John in passing and he would offer a kind "hi" or a smile. I'm sure the deli department will not be the same without him. He will be missed.

It was a honor to work with John and get to know him on a personal note. He was a wonderful person and true gentlemen. I will miss seeing his smiling face and eating lunch with him. He was a genuine fun person to be around and his Publix family will surely feel his loss. He will be in my prayers now and forever because I look forward to him being part of welcoming me home. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. Revelation 21:3-4 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and their shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget." Thank you for the memories John. I was blessed to have the chance to work with you and get to know you. You will be missed so much. My sincere condolences to all of John's family. He was a wonderful man.
