I have fond memories of us traveling in that little yellow beetle of yours with you singing The Quarter Master's Store. I also remember the two of us pulling over for a rest (on more than one occasion) in that same car. Dad, now that I'm grown I look back and think....How in the world did we both fit back there to sleep? I think I was @ 5 yrs old then but you were still 6'2''. I remember It was cold out but I was warm in that little bug with my dad. That is the one most precious memory I will hold soo very dear to my heart...The drive, the songs, the time spent with you. Yes there were alot more memories but this is my favorite one. You & I & that yellow bug. I sure am going to miss you. You already know how much I Love You. I thought you had more time too.... Love, Jenny

Richard. I was just talking with my husband tonight about when you took me for a ride on your motorcycle and I burned my leg cause I had on shorts and wasn't paying attention. And then get a call about your going home. I'm sure its a grand reunion. You will be thought of with a smile. God bless you Richard. Until we meet again. Love, Kaysie

Richard, I'll miss you, your humor, and twinkling eyes. We had alot of fun together and shared some that weren't so fun. What we had was very special and I'll never forget you. You were a caring and loving man who shared what you had with everyone. I wish I could have attended your services, but our talk just before you left us was enough. Be at peace and hope to see you again. Cate To the family: My condolences to you all. Be there and love one another as he did all of you. In family is strength and you are wonderful people.

Richard, You were a great brother-in-law and you always had a way of making people laugh. I don't know why God took you and Buddy so early but I will see you both again someday. I'm guessing you and Buddy are catching snakes in Heaven right now. Love you and miss you.

To my Big Brother Richard, Whom will be missed very much, How can you say goodbye to your Hero to a brother who tought me to stare into someones eyes when you talk to them. When we used to hitchhike from macDill AFB to our home on Thatcher, To a brother who took me to my first Rock concert, that introduced me to boy Scouts and camped out in our backyard "you can't".you will always be with me and you will always be my hero. I know you are up there playing cards with Mom and Dad and out catching snakes with Buddy. I know I will see all of you someday when God says it's my turn to come home.To my Big brother I will always be grateful for all you did with all my heart and love , Your little brother Adam

Richard God has called on you a bit too early as I stated about your other brother, it sure shows life is too short too be an angry person and that is forsure what you weren't. Miss you Richard I was so happy to have known you and had you for as brother-in-law, it was always worth the trip to Tenn to visit you because you made me laugh so much ! I can still hear our last conversation in my head the day before you passed. Until we all see eachother again Love ya ,Lisa

Dear Uncle Richard, Life seems so unfair sometimes. Why are the good guys always the first to go? I guess we all just have to trust that God knows best, and He has a plan for everyone. I still can't believe you're gone. I really regret that we didn't get to see each other more often. You're an amazing uncle and an amazing person. I love and miss you so much. Keep my dad company for me.

To My Big Brother Richard, I can't even imagine my life without you, all the times you protected me when we were growing up, all the time we spend in Wellswood. The time you pulled the nail out of my foot and carried me home. When we would go across the street and sweep the pourch and get paid with watermellon. You were one of the GOOD guys. You are now home again with our loved ones that went before us. I know you are with GOD and he needed you to come home. I love and will miss you until the day comes when I get to come home too. Your Baby Sister Diane
