April, I am so sorry for the loss of the love of your life, your best friend and husband. I heard it was a beautiful memorial service and I loved the pictures they made me smile. I hope you find comfort in all the wonderful memories you had together. I know George is still watching over you from heaven as he did here and remember you will see him again one day. I am thinking about you. I love you! Suzanne

Although I didn't know George well, I do know the legacy he left behind. For a parent our greatest achievement is to raise children who make a difference in this world and this has been done. My heart goes out to the family, to my closest friend Jennie and to everyone who knew and loved him. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.May the sun shine warm upon your face.May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand. [Irish Blessing]

Mike and Jennie, My heart is so very sad for you both and I wish there was a way to keep this kind of sadness from you. The time you had with your dad was a gift from above and I know you will always be strengthened by it. George is fishing with the best now and smiling down at the two of you with love only a parent can feel. Know that I'm thinking of you and wish that I could be there. Love to you both. Aunt Linda George, God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Rest in Peace, you will be missed by two very loving children and three adoring grandchildren. Linda

Dear Little Sis, OH my this is very hard to write. I am so sorry that the love of your life, your best friend and soul mate has left you even though for a better place in heaven. I know there is no consoling that can take away your pain and loss at this moment! So I will simply say I love you and will be there for you always little sis as we go through life separated by miles and miles, but always close knowing there is someone there who has your back! I love you April. Your big sis, Vanette Now for Mr. George V. Doherty! I wanted to write a little note to you which I am sure you will read from up above and smile. Thank you for giving that first professional job as an Administrator, you hired me before I was old enough to have a NHA license, right out of university a 17 year old child. But you gave me the chance. I will always remember those times and smile budget process for each facility so many years ago when we would negotiate over the pay rate for staff 3 cents or 5, I used to need your signature on the salary increase forms and budget. I also remember doing some pretty wild things where unions, drunk employees, criminal laundry deals were involved in Miami and you were always on my side supporting quality patient care. Then you MARRIED my little sister!. And we were happy to have you in our family. We will miss you my dear brother in law. Remember to look down on us from time to time and know we are thinking of you…. Your sister in law Vanette
