Obituary of Alton D. Snyder

SNYDER, Alton, D., “AL”, 93, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011. He was born in Greenville, SC and moved to Fla., in 1955. Alton served in the U. S. Army for three years as a cook, worked as an electrician and retired Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He worked for more than 20 years with Avon and was one of their top salesman. Alton was a member of Myrtle Lake Baptist Church in Land O’ Lakes and the Fleet Reserve Association. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Hattie; four grandchildren, Allen, Michelle and Sirita Russell and Beth Valdez, eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl at 1:30 p.m.
