Bill and I will miss Steve riding around the park on his scooter and all of his fantastic stories. Bill will especially miss all the projects they worked on together. I know he is in Heaven and no longer in pain but it will still be a very sad day today to say goodbye to such a Generous man and friend.

This man was a sweet heart and a sweet spirit. He will definitely be missed by those who had the opportunity to know him and his actions will be missed by those that didn't know him. He did a lot of good things for many folks. My condolenses to the family.

I am very sorry to hear of Stephen's passing. All my experiences with him were at SCA gatherings. He had a bright smile and a great attitude about everything he was involved with. His contributions, generosity and dedication to the SCA and its members were appreciated by many. I will miss seeing his smile as he interacted with people.

Kamar and I remember him fondly. He worked hard and gave so generously to the others. The service he gave with his water bearing to the Kingdom of Trimaris was much appreciated by all. He was hard working and kind hearted. We were blessed to have known him even though our time in Trimaris was so brief. To Rhysling/Steven... God Speed & Good Journey. We will raise a glass and light a candle in your honor tonight and one day we will see you again, on the other side of the veil. Blessings to his family and friends, ~~~Shalimariah~~~

I knew Stephen by another name in the SCA. All my memories of him were of him smiling while helping others. His dedication to the group and its members was amazing. I can attest to how much his efforts meant to the fighters of the SCA. His contributions to making sure we had good clean water at the fighting field kept many of us from becoming heat causalities. His smile and service will be missed.

Stephen was known to us in the SCA as Honorable Lord Rhysling of Westover. Not suprisingly, he spent his time there giving to our community as he did in the modern world. Many a person on a hot day appreciated his efforts to ensure that cool water was available for all. We are saddened to hear of his passing, and though many of us cannot be present at the memorial service, we will raise a toast in honor of our friend.

Although Steve could be gruff, he was always a great big, cuddly bear with a very warm heart! He also had a sense of humor. Over the years he had played a few little jokes on me that make me smile - even now. I am going to miss Steve allot!
