Obituary of Helen Marie Paulin

PAULIN, Helen Marie, 78, of Lutz, Fla.; passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at home with her family at her side. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1987. Helen was the owner of Crossroads Inn in Keyport, New Jersey. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes, and women’s guild; Northdale Owls; Getaway Sam’s RV Club; art club at Meadow Point Recreation Center; member of the YMCA where she enjoyed swimming and yoga. She loved playing cards with her girlfriends, her bunko nights and Friday night bingo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard and infant daughter, Linda Paulin. She is survived by her son Richard, Jr. of Keyport, NJ; two daughters, Debra Granato and her husband, James of Forked River, NJ and Susan Staton and her husband, Ken of Wesley Chapel; daughter in law, Laura Paulin of Lutz, Fla.; brother, Jack Phillips and his wife, Barbara of Beach Haven, West NJ; two sisters, Doris Polewczak of Elizabeth, NJ and Joan Hausleiter and her husband, Herman of Casselberry, Fla.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Pedraza and Bo Scroggins, T.J. Pedraza, James and Nikki Toner, Carisa and Joey Burke and Richard and Pamela Paulin III and five great grand children, Samantha Scroggins, Trinity Contos, Aidan Pedraza, Ezra Pedraza and Mya Burke and her best friend in the world “BFF”, Beverly Maples. A funeral mass will take place at 4:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church on Monday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Her final resting place will be the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HPH Hospice in memory of Helen.
