Although it has been many years, I have such nice memories of Rose bringing Kris (as a child) to visit me at my job in New York in the snow, in the rain just so he could bring me (his Godmother) a picture he drew for me.. very special lady and very special memories of her smile.

I still remember the Thanksgiving that Rose got the strand of beads tangled and stuck around her neck. She had me laughing so hard it was near impossible to get them off. I think Carann ended up cutting them off her neck...Good Times, Good Memories. That's what life is about. My thoughts are with you and your family. I love you. Lee

Thanks to all who come here and write some thoughts and memories. I am sad but I know Mom is happy. There is a party in heaven today and Mom is dancing with Dad who has been gone for 39 years. She has wanted to be on the other side for all these years and I know she is so happy there now.

My Aunt Rose, was a second Mother to me as I was growing up...just a few doors away from all you kids. My Mom and her were the best of friends and saw and/or talked to each other every day. Your Dad was always available too. He had a twinkle in his eye when he dealt with my Dad. We "kids"...do you remember being a kid?...had our differences, but still dealt with each other on "kid" levels. One of my fondest memories of Aunt Rose, was going to a shoe store called Ansonia, where the shoes were $1.99. I don't remember if Carann was there, but I remember sitting on the floor in that shoe store...trying on all the tiny size heels that our Moms put there for us to play with. Aunt Rose and Mom shopped 'til they dropped. I remember going home with boxes and boxes of shoes attached by rope so that they could carry them. I believe that our Moms are up in heaven...still shopping...probably for shoes! I LOVE ALL YOU GUYS!!! Sheila

I haven't seen Rose for many years but she touched my life, made me smile and gave me wonderful advice. I met her when I was 18 and Bill and I loved being in her company then and talked of her often as we grew older, with fond memories, laughter and thanks that God blessed us to know her. My heart goes out to all of you and I hope your wonderful memories of her and the knowledge that her spirit lives will bring you peace.

It is with much sadness to hear about your mother. We only knew her just a few years, but I truly enjoyed talking to her and she always allowed me to call her "Ma". Her cute smile and kindness will be remembered the most during our visits to your home, especially, during the holidays. We extend our prayers and friendship to you and your family. Let us know if there is anything you may need. Fondly - John, Michelle & Jonathan

Aunt Rose is an unforgetable woman. No matter how long it was since you last saw her, she always had a presence of strength and compassion. She had the best sense of humor and let you see the bright side of a difficult situation. I remember her at my daughter Jeanette's wedding where she made sure everyone knew she was the bride's aunt because she was proud to be her. Aunt Rose is at peace with all that went before her especially Uncle John. She will be missed. Marianne Porricelli, niece

"I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love." Leo Buscaglia Grandma Rose's loving memories will always be cherished in our hearts. Her stories of being a "city girl" from New York and living by the tracks were always entertaining. She always had something to share, including tootsie pops. My kids knew right where to go to get a big hug and an assortment of tootsie pops. Carann & family-Our earnest prayers and thoughts area always there to help you through the days ahead. Remember that we love and care about you and we are just a call away. Carlos, Tracey, Josie, and CJ

Anyone meeting Aunt Rose felt as though they've always known her. When she spoke you listened and she listened in return. She was a truly memorable person and will be missed not only by her family but by all who knew her. Her nephew Michael Marketta

Rose: I remember her fondly for her charitable nature. She could always find a way to provide for those less fortunate. Rose will forever be in my memory when I see a tootsie roll pop. It was her trademark long before Kojak stole that from her. My best memory is the time I spent in her home at Christmas with my then 6 month old, first born daughter. Rose could have been Annie's very own Grandma, cooing over her and admiring the too many outfits I changed her into. Most of all, Rose, thank you for my sister. I am eternally grateful to you for my Carann. May god bless you, your soul, and may you rest in eternal peace on angels wings. You deserve nothing less. Love

Grandma Rose is going to be so missed. She always had something to nice to say. She always asked how everyone was. Never forgot anyone. I remember when she moved to her new home she couldn't wait to show me her room. " I have the perfect view.... I love to see the golfers out my window" I am going to miss being greeted by her when I come visit. And I am going to miss seeing her walk around eating her lollipop and wearing her "white pants". I know where she is, she will have an unlimited supply of lollipops and her white pants will be perfect. We will have one more angel to watch over us. Love you....
