Obituary of Donald Hughes

HUGHES, DONALD, 76, of Wesley Chapel, Fla., passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at his residence with family and friends by his side. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 17, 1934 and moved to the area in 2001 from Midland Park, NJ. He was a US Navy Veteran. Donald was a Steamfitter of Local 638 in New York, NY and past Grand Knight of St. Lukes Knights of Columbus Council #5257. He was of the Catholic faith. He is preceded in death by his son, Keith; brothers, Sonny, Bill, Bob and sister, Taffy. He is survived by three sons, Donald of Blairstown, NJ, Richard of West Milford, NJ and Michael of Wyckoff, NJ; three sisters, Mary of Ohio, Mickey of Indiana and Pat of Florida; eight grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8th at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
